My top five supplements, and how I use them to support my daily routine

 

I recently signed on to be an Xendurance sponsored athlete. I’m really excited about it. The people behind the scenes are amazing and all of their products are top notch. If they weren’t, I wouldn’t have agreed to work with them (I’ve said no to countless other supplement brands over the years).


In this blog post, I’m going to share my top 5 favorite Xendurance products, and how I incorporate them into my personal routine.


Before I start though, I do want to mention that supplements are not “necessary,” but can be an extremely useful tool for anyone looking to take their training, recovery, and lifestyle to the next level.


1.      Extreme Endurance 




Clinically proven to reduce lactic acid build up (less muscle soreness), reduce oxidative stress, and promote faster recovery.


This product is amazing. Seriously. My experience using this product is what initially sold me on joining the Xendurance team.


I take this product every day – once in the morning, and again in the evening. It takes about two weeks to build up in your system before you start feeling results.


*Also when I say “clinically proven” I really mean it – 12 studies and counting.

 

2.      Fuel-5



The best carbohydrate drink I’ve ever used. I’ll drink 1-2 scoops before intense workouts or longer runs, and also take an additional 1-2 scoops in my water bottle to sip on during my workout.


The beauty of this product is that it contains 5 forms of fuel – 4 carbs plus lactate. It’s easy on my stomach and I really feel a difference in my energy levels.


I also give it to my kids to drink before soccer games. I'm comfortable doing this because all Xendurance products are made with quality ingredients (usually pharmaceutical grade), do not contain additives or fillers, and are certified free of banned substances.


You might also want to check out Fuel-5+. It’s the same as Fuel-5, except it has caffeine. Just don’t give the caffeine to your kids!

 

3.      Creatine-JB



Creatine is one of the most widely studied supplements. It works. Creatine-JB is the crown jewel of creatine supplements because it uses top notch ingredients, such as Creapure®, to promote energy, strength, and brain health. The flavor is nice too. I drink 1 scoop per day, usually around bedtime.

 

 4.      Focus



This is a nootropic featuring ALPHASIZE®, a high-quality Alpha GPC ingredient. This helps with concentration, focus, and energy. I’ll take a scoop of this mid-day whenever I need a boost. I also use this as a pre-workout from time to time. Pro tip: Mix this with sparkling water and it’ll be the best energy drink you’ve ever tried!

 

5.      Hydro



A delicious blend of electrolytes and minerals, only 1 gram of sugar per serving, informed sport certified, and made in the USA. I’ll drink this after intense exercise to replenish what I’ve lost through sweat. And this is another one that my kids absolutely love.

 

There you have it. My top 5 favorite Xendurance supplements. Again though, all of their products are amazing. For example, I've been taking their Joint-4 daily for joint health. They also have a skin care line that I’m in the process of testing as well as several other top notch supplements, depending on your needs.
